The relatives claimed that the doctor who was regularly examining her didn't consult a senior doctor and the surgery was not carried out in time. However, the doctors claimed that the surgery was done immediately when "cord prolapse" was diagnosed during examination.

Following the incident, the patient was discharged due to security concerns, however, the relatives had claimed that the doctor discharged the pregnant woman who had not fully recovered.

Event: A patient in labor had been referred to BPKIHS because of uncontrolled hypertension but the patient had reached Om Gurukul Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. as per the suggestion of the ambulance driver. The patient underwent surgery there, but she developed complications in the postoperative period, following which blood transfusion was done and she was referred to the Nobel Medical College, Biratnagar where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Relatives and family members of the deceased had kept her body on the premises of Om Gurukul and staged demonstration, claiming that she died due to doctors’ negligence. They had demanded strict action against the doctor involved in the operation and reparation to the victim’s family.

Event: A 23-year-old (25 according to another source) pregnant lady had died after she had undergone a caesarean section on the night before. Relatives had blamed the hospital negligence for the death saying that the operation was conducted without adequate preparations. Irate relatives and family had staged demonstration, and the security personnel were deployed to prevent any untoward incidents. They had vandalized the operation theater.
