Event: The doctor was allegedly beaten up by the son of a 54-year-old patient who had succumbed to ‘respiratory illness’ a few hours after being brought to the emergency ward of the hospital. Doctors found to their shock that the CCTV footage of the incident inside the emergency ward was missing. Accusing the hospital’s administration of deleting the CCTV footage of the incident, protesting NMC doctors had padlocked the administrative block.

Event: After death of a 26-year-old lady probably from postpartum hemorrhage following vacuum delivery, irate relatives vandalized the hospital claiming that the doctors had damaged the uterus during vacuum delivery leading to excessive blood loss. They had demanded compensation with hospital for upbringing of the two kids of the deceased.
