Event: A 36-year-old male was admitted in ICU with pancreatitis and hypertension. Relatives of the patient misunderstood central venous access opening on neck as a neck surgery which allegedly led to death of the patient. The irate kin of the deceased barged into the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital and vandalized the window panes, door and other medical equipment indiscriminately, incurring a loss of millions of rupees. The agitating groups also manhandled on-duty doctors and nurses at the ICU.

Event: The relatives of the 18-year-old patient had vandalized the local Chitwan Medical College blaming the hospital's sheer ignorance behind the demise. However, the patient who was undergoing treatment at the hospital, returned home after recovery. The hospital sources said that the patient who underwent appendicitis was treated placing him under ventilator support after complications. At the same time, the irate relatives had spread rumor and also resorted to vandalize the hospital. The windowpanes of the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) were broken in the incident of vandalism.

Relatives and family members resorted to vandalizing Chitwan Medical College after a woman died while undergoing a nose surgery at the hospital.

Event: Youths of Chitwan vandalized the Intensive Care Unit in Chitwan Medical College over the death of a patient who was admitted after being hit by a vehicle. The agitators broke glass window of the ICU and man-handled the hospital staff. Police has arrested 7 people involved in the incident.

Event: A 25-year-old pregnant lady was admitted to the hospital after she complained of labor pain which was complicated by Eclampsia leading to death. After her mortality, the relatives of the deceased had staged protests saying that she died due to doctors’ negligence. The irate kin had also damaged the glass of the hospital’s main door. Four persons, including 3 police personnel were injured when agitators had pelted stones at the police.
