Nawalpur Snakebite treatment center Incident

Event: A 2-year-old girl died while undergoing treatment at the center. Accusing the health workers of negligence in the treatment of the minor, family members and locals vandalized the center and damaged the ventilator, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and important equipment at the center. They also thrashed the healthcare workers. While the relatives claimed that the health workers were drunk during the treatment, the hospital stated that she was bitten twice by the venomous snake which made difficulty in saving her.
